Maramba Market

Maramba Market

These vibrant markets allow clients the opportunity to test their bargaining skills.  Maramba is the largest market and it is here that the locals sell everything from “chitengies” to pots & pans made from old motorcars.  A Guide will accompany the clients and assist in explaining some of the more unusual items and/or bargaining techniques.  It also provides the opportunity to meet the local people and take some interesting photos.  The market was not set up for just tourists - this is where the people of Livingstone come to shop!

Mukuni Village

These daily tours are of Mukuni Village, home to the Leya people. Clients have the opportunity to learn more about this interesting culture whilst being shown around the village homes and Chief Mkuni’s Palace, as well as having the opportunity to try out their traditional food & beer. Victoria Falls

Tour of the Falls - Zambia

Clients are transferred from their Hotel in Victoria Falls, across the border, and to the entrance of the Zambian Rain Forest. From here, they will meet up with a Zambian Guide who will escort them around the Falls sharing some facts & history along the way. Clients are also given the opportunity to do some curio shopping in the adjacent open-air markets before returning to Zimbabwe.

Jet Boating on Zambezi

Jet Boat - Zambian Gorge

Pumping vast amounts of power from huge jet engines, these powerboats shoot down the rapids below the Falls at 100 km an hour. A thrilling half hour spent flying over the water and ‘buzzing’ rock faces between rapids 23 and 27.

There are two departures, morning and afternoon and they include beer and cool drinks after the boat ride and at the top of the gorge after the Cable Car ride out. Pick up is at the Day Activity Centre at 08h00 or 12h30 with an hours drive to the edge of the gorge. Thereafter 8 minute cable car ride into the gorge and board the boat. The ride lasts for ½ an hour before the 8 minute ride out of the gorge at the end.

Children must be 7 or older. Prices are the same for all ages.

Victoria Falls and Zambezi rafting

The rapids below the Falls are among the world’s wildest but also the safest due to deep water, steep canyon walls and no mid stream rocks. The top section of the Batoka Gorge, rapids 1 – 10, includes the highest concentration of grade 4 and 5 rapids anywhere in the world. Spectacular scenery, sunshine, warm water and superb rapids all make this one of the greatest white water venues in the world. Safety is paramount and all precautions are taken to avoid accidents including plenty of safety kayaks, highly trained guides with a minimum of 5 years experience, radio communications and comprehensive evacuation facilities.

White Water Rafting – No under 14 yrs
Low water rafting runs from about mid July to the end of January. The best months are usually August and September.

A full day includes 21 rapids, lunch and 9 ½ hours in the day, including the walk out of the gorge and the drive home.
Full Day. Pick up is from the Day Activity Centre at 08h30 getting back at about 17h00.
Half Day in the morning. Pick up is from the Day Activity Centre at 08h30 getting back at about 13h30.

A half-day trip in the morning takes in rapids 1 – 10, breakfast, a light lunch and drinks for the climb out. The afternoon rafting includes lunch, rapids 11 – 21, and drinks for the climb out.
Half Day in the afternoon. Pick up is from the Day Activity Centre at 11h30 getting back at about 17h00.

Canoeing in Victoria Falls

Probably the best way to appreciate the beauty, peace and wildlife of the Zambezi River above the Falls is to paddle slowly downstream in a canoe with some of the best wildlife guides in Africa. Watch the Pied Kingfisher hover and dive, listen to the haunting call of the fish eagle and the grunts of the hippo, see elephant, buffalo, and other animals come down to drink and explore the islands and waterways along the route. There is time to stop for something to eat and drink and listen to tales of Livingstone’s journey to the Falls.

There are 5 ½ hour safaris which begin in the morning and include tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks. A full day safari lasts 9 hours and includes a cold lunch with wine, soft drinks and beer. Guests are picked up from the Day Activity Centre at 08h00 and dropped off again at 13h30 for a half-day and 17h00 for the full day safari.

Children must be 12 or older to go for a full day and 10 or more to go on a ½ day safari. Price is the same for all ages.

Slide 53 meters down the gorge on the end of a rope either facing the cliff face or looking down into the void. The walk out is up quite a steep slope but it is not far.

Bungi Jump Victoria Falls

With the Falls behind you and the river rushing below the Victoria Falls Bridge this is certainly no ordinary bungi jump. At 111 metres it is also one of the highest jumps in the world and the adrenaline rush is as wild as the river itself.

There are two bungi options: A single jump on your own or a tandem jump with a partner. You meet at the Day Activity Centre at a time convenient to yourself and stroll to the Victoria Falls Bridge with your passport, passing through the Zambian immigration point. Including the walk the entire experience takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The bungi supervisors are available from 09h00 until 16h00 and you jump whenever you feel like it.

The minimum age is 14 years, with a minimum weight of 40 KGs and a maximum weight of 140 kgs. Prices are the same for all ages.

Helicopter flight in Zimbabwe

From a Helicopter – Children 4 years & below are ½ price – a 15-minute flight will take you over the Falls and the Zambezi River. A 30-minute flight will take you over the Falls, the Batoka Gorge, the Zambezi River and the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
Departure is from the Day Activity Centre and at the guests’ convenience.
Flights begin at 08h00 and continue until last light. Children under 4 are ½ price and children under 1 are free.

Microlight flight at Victoria Falls

These flights depart throughout the day, however clients are taken to the airport where they will board fixed wing planes to experience magnificent views of the Victoria Falls. The 25min Flight of Angels includes a flight over the Falls whilst the 45min Safari flight also includes a flight over the Chamabonda Game Park before returning to the airport. Please remember that the transfer to/from the airport for these fixed wing flights takes approximately 25mins each way.

Chobe Day Trip - Botswana ex Zambia

This tour departs daily to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Clients will be transferred to the Kazungula border where their Botswana Guide will meet them.
From here they proceed straight to the River where they will spend the morning game viewing along the Chobe River. Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided.

The morning cruise ends at around 12.30hrs and clients are then taken to a hotels on the riverbank for lunch. After lunch, clients board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park where they will have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife. After their game drive, they are taken back to the Kazungula Border where they will be met by their Zimbabwean Guide for their return transfer to Victoria Falls, arriving at approximately 18.30hrs.

Guests are collected at 08:00hrs and transferred to Zimbabwe. On arrival in Zimbabwe they will do a guided Tour Of The Falls, visit the market. Lunch will be to the clients own account. After lunch a visit to the Zambezi Nature Sanctuary.
Guests are transferred back to Botswana at approximately 16:00 hours.

The Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park boasts five White Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and various Antelope. Although small by African standards (1600Ha), this increases the chance of seeing game. Clients are also shown some historic sites such as the Old Drift where the original white settlers lived before 1904. Although we do not operate this activity ourselves, we are happy to assist with reservations on your behalf.
